Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is a Norwegian music writer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released through Decca Records Decca Records in May 2015 getting great reviews from bloggers as well as the press. She's recorded a variety of well-known cover songs, including Half the World Away (by the band Oasis) to accompany John Lewis' Christmas advert as well as Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole) and were widely appreciated. Katy Perry, who endorsed the tune Runaway from her side, gave it some more recognition. Enjoy the celebration of this special event. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was finding a keyboard within her loft and being fascinated by its music. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents, May Britt Aksnes and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to learn music as a passion rather than as a job. Her parents inspired her to write. She is credited with Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen and Bjork for being among her inspirations. Her mother had informed her that her music can not only aid in her efforts to achieve fame but also make others see their significance to the world and appreciate the possibilities for them She decided to start singing in public. At age 6 She began playing the piano. At age nine, she was writing music. It was not until she turned 14 that she told her parents. Aurora wasn't a dream. She just loves to write songs. For her, the music she writes is how she feels about everything.
